The Gateway Business Awards(TGBA): Celebrating the brightest minds in business.

Now in its 8th year, The Gateway Business Awards has become the foremost benchmark and platform for recognizing excellence and impact in business in Ogun State; hence it has emerged as a major highlight and key feature of the annual business calender. A celebration and appreciation of the best of Nigerian Business.

TGBA was conceptualized to honor excellence in leadership and achievement, specifically to build a platform that promotes strategic nexus and interaction between the government and other public institutions, individuals, private sector organizations and the local communities towards achieving sustainable growth and development in the Gateway State.

Since its inception over 400 companies and individuals have been nominated and 112 Awards presented to organizations and individuals with exceptional impact and excellence across the country. In 2016, The Gateway Business Awards attracted over 600 guests from industries leaders, government officials from state and federal, top CEOs and high profile business executives. It was profiled by The Nigerian Tribune and The Nation Newspaper as the biggest corporate event in Ogun State.

Of course as in any award setup there are always the more popular categories and the less popular categories. The TGBA categories that are usually more vigorantly pursued and sought after by corporate bodies, businesses and individuals include: Best Corporate Practice, Corporate Leadership Award, Grand Prix Award For Reputation and Credibility and Best Agro Scheme,  just to mention a few.

TGBA also recognizes and honors Industry achievers and outstanding individuals who have made irrefutable impact and progress in their respective fields or careers. The category is called the Grand Prix Award for Reputation and Credibility, this category has major heavyweights such as Otunba Subomi Balogun(Founder, FCMB), Engr. Toyin Adeyinka(MD, Sparklight Estate), General Oladipupo Diya, Prof. Solomon Olubunmi Badeja(FIRN); amongst others who have all been bestowed with this award.

Lafarge Wapco Cement, Lasaco Assurance, Total Health Trust, Kings Guards Ltd., May & Baker, Hyra Motors, Sweet Sensation, Clearline Health Ltd., Negris Ltd., Mira Flash Pharmaceutical, Katawa Properties, Lashonlink Group,  are amongst the roll call of companies and corporate bodies that have been honored with awards.
